Powercadd 9 1 3 Ling Series H WirelessI just bought a new headset (Steelseries H wireless) and have begun noticing a staticcracking sound in the left earmuff.![]() Thinking it was just the headset I decided to try my old one (Turtle Beach X12) but also received the staticcracking sound albeit much more feint. Its interferencesignals from other components in your PC leaking through. ![]() Your headset is picking some sort of radiation, my speakers do the exact same thing when any actively transmitting phone gets within 6 feet. Should also point out that I can hear it even without the transmitter plugged in. Thats good to know. Just to rule out PC related issues; Does the static noise increasedecrease as you increasedecrease the volume on your headphones If so, a simple fix is to just turn down the volume on your headphones and compensate by increasing the volume on your PC. If not, it can be a short inside the headphone circuitry causing it, unfortunately that means youre shit out of luck and just have to learn to live with it. Now were entering the area where I can only speak from personal experience and not knowledge. Also, does the static carry over into musicgamingmovies or is it just noticeable when theres no input edit: Nvm, didnt see you already tried it muted. Well, fuck. Im out of ideas for what might be the cause then. Sorry. ![]() I just bought the Steelseries H wireless, and I got the same problem, static noise in the left ear. Kinda annoying, Ive noticed if I have it turned off for a couple of hours I can use it for about 10mins then the noise starts and wont go away. Click on the Advanced tab, and change the drop down default format to 44.0khz. If that doesnt work try other formats until it goes away. May not be the issue, but steel series if famous for only working at specific frequencies and not defaulting to the correct one.
